Our Freethinkers' Social on October 12, 2024 will take place at the Manitou Art Center. Our long time member, Lisa Midknight (Murphy) … has been an ”artist in residence” there for years and has the privilege of hosting our group,in the gallery at 513 Manitou Ave. There is a large sign bearing those numbers high up on the building on your left, and it is just after Villa Motel.

There should be some parking in the lot between  513 Manitou Ave and the city library next door.  Or you can park along the Avenue. The city of Manitou Springs has QR codes on light pole. The intend is that you will scan the codes and pay a parking fee.

Bring your usual offering of food or drink to share and your ear for great conversation.  Lisa is setting up some art tables for us to indulge our creative side (should you choose) And we will be surrounded by the works of many local artists.  Imagine dining in a gallery with your most interesting friends!

The event will begin at 5pm and extend until around 8 pm. And as usual, it is free to everyone.  Bring a creative dish or a favorite take out or store prepared item.  

If you are so inclined you are welcome to dress for the occasion (It is October with Halloween just 2 weeks away). Lisa is also asking for a couple of folks to arrive around 4:30 to help set up the rooms we will be using.

There is a front door to the building with a giant desk and chair near it. Further back into the parking area, there is another door that leads into the building that is handicap accessible.   There might also be some street actors moving around getting read to take their ART out onto the streets of Manitou.
