Events
Come and enjoy good food and great conversation with other Freethinkers! Bring a dish to share, bring your spouse and/or friend, and bring water, soft drinks, a bottle of beer or wine, or whatever you'd like to drink. Coffee and tea will be provided by the host(ess). The socials usually begin at 6:00 PM and break up around 9:00 PM. Remember to mark your calendar; our socials are on the second Saturday of each month.
August's social will be held on Saturday the 9th at 6:00 PM. Don't forget to bring a dish to share and something you'd like to drink!
Join us Sunday, August 10th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m for a celebration of the 2008 Summer Olympics and for one last "hoorah" before school starts! We will meet at Memorial Park in the picnic area by Prospect Lake. It is bordered by Union Blvd and E Las Animas Street. The parking area is close to the Aquatic and Fitness center. Memorial Park is very close to the Olympic Training Center, so if you have an urge to see where many United States athletes train, this would be a great opportunity. Bring a dish to share with other free thought families and Jim will supply dogs for the grill.

Jack Quinn's Irish Alehouse and Pub

Swing on by and join Drinking Skeptically for some good Irish pub food, drinks, and great conversations. We will be meeting at Jack Quinn's Irish Alehouse again since they had great food and service the last time. Ask the front desk hostess to find out which table we are seated at. This month I encourage everyone to think of one thing that you heard or read about that set off your skeptical alarm bells; perhaps a friend is trying a new fad diet, the date 8-8-8 at 8:08 had special significance, or you saw a local ad for an acupuncturist.
