On June 20 be sure to tune into PBS to watch a brilliant new documentary, called "Trapped," about the abortion access crisis in America.
The film shows how anti-abortion restrictions can devastate the lives of women and families.
You’ll see interviews with providers who are doing everything they can to give their patients compassionate care in the face of restrictive laws. This is a story that needs to be told.
Especially as we await the Supreme Court’s ruling in the most important abortion access case in a generation—Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt, and because so many states are passing horrible restrictions against abortion. Soon we will be like the Central American countries where women with problem pregnancies can't get doctors to treat them because if the baby dies, the doctor will be accused of causing an abortion, will lose his license, and will be jailed along with the woman. Some women get sentences of 40 years!
So please watch! And then do what you can to fight this terrible problem.
