The first speaker is Tristan Schwartz of the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society. Tristan is an amateur astronomer and science writer, recently published in the Sky and Telescope magazine. He will be talking about many popular moon myths such as the "lunar effect" and the "supermoon".
Come and enjoy good food and great conversation with other Freethinkers! Bring a dish to share, bring your spouse and/or friend, and bring a bottle of beer or wine or whatever you’d like to drink; coffee and tea are provided by the host(s). Socials usually begin at 6:00 pm and break up around 9:00 pm. Remember to mark your calendar; socials are on the second Saturday of the month.
Don’t forget to bring a dish to share and something you’d like to drink!
