Steven Mahone (non-theist) v. RC Metcalf (theist) Come and hear two views on what life means now and what it means after we die. Is there one god, many gods, or no gods at all? Is life what we make of it? Or is there good reason to believe that a deity takes a personal interest in his/her creation? Is the soul a metaphor or is it something separate and eternal from the material? Bring your questions and a friend! Friday, April 4, 2008 7-9 p.m. Public/Free Admission | ||

Join us for the April 12th Social at Gary and Becky's house from 6:00-9:00 PM. Gary and Becky are longstanding members of the Freethinkers and many of you have been here before! If not, please make this your first occasion--you'll have a wonderful time. They have plenty of space and provide a "kid-friendly" environment. Hi Hiking Freethinkers, The hike this Sunday morning will be the Rock Island Trail. We will be starting close to North Murray Blvd. and Constitution Ave and heading east towards Powers Blvd. The trail goes along the Old (now abandoned) Rock Island Railroad track for a mile or so and stops at Powers Blvd. The hike would have very little elevation gain and is by far one of the easiest hikes in the area. For an in town hike, it is actually rather scenic. Start: 1:00 pm
End: 3:00 pm
