We are so lucky to have a world class nature and science museum near to us in Denver. A fantastic new temporary exhibit just opened titled "Dinosaurs - ancient fossils, new discoveries". Can't wait to see it! Oh, right, nearly forgot ... it's for the kids!

Meet Sunday 2 November at 10.30am at the lobby of the Museum

If more than 10 of us are non-members then the price is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. If less than 10 non-members the price is only $1 more for adults and kids. There is no separate ticket required for the dinosaur exhibit.

The Freethinkers of Colorado Springs have been invited to give the invocation at the Colorado Springs City Council meeting on Monday, November 10th starting at 1:00 PM. Rich Breidenbach, a member of the board, will be giving the invocation.

Swing on by and join Drinking Skeptically for some good Irish pub food, drinks, and great conversations. We will be meeting at Jack Quinn's Irish Alehouse. Ask the front desk hostess to find out which table we are seated at. There is dollar parking at the Plaza of the Rockies, which is one block south from the pub.

Everyone is welcome even if you do not drink.

John Patrick Michael Murphy, one of the founders of the Freethinkers of Colorado Springs, will be giving a talk about "The Early Days of the Freethinkers of Colorado Springs."

The hike this Saturday will be the Columbine Trail, which starts from the Starsmore Center and heads west towards Helen Hunt Falls in Cheyenne Canyon. The difficulty level of this hike is a little more difficult than Waldo Canyon Trail and is about 12 miles round trip. You do not have to do the entire hike and can decide individually or in small groups how far you want to go up the trail. The Starsmore Center, is located west of the intersection of Evans Ave., West Cheyenne Blvd., North Cheyenne Canyon Road and South Cheyenne Canyon Road (which leads to Seven Falls).
