Hi Hiking Freethinkers,

Weather permitting, there will be a hike on Sunday, October 31st on Chautauqua Trail 715 to the top on Mount Herman. It starts on the southwest edge of the town of Palmer Lake and heads towards Mount Herman. There are short sections that the trail are extremely steep (in some locations to avoid walking in Monument Creek). Overall the trail has a relatively gradual incline. I would rate this trail as intermediate in difficulty (round trip of 10 to 12 miles, about 1500 ft. elevation gain). We would be leaving from my house (see directions below) at 9:00 AM and carpooling to the trailhead.

Please bring enough water and snacks on the hike.

Due to the number of people on the hike, please let me know if you plan on attending the hike. If you change your mind, please let her know that also.
