UPDATE -- The party was to have taken place upstairs in "Jack's Attic" but will instead be held downstairs on the ground floor. Apparently, the group with whom the Freethinkers were to share the upstairs space will be much larger than Jack Quinn's staff anticipated, leaving us insufficient room, so we'll have space reserved by the bar downstairs. Come celebrate the First Day of Summer with the Freethinkers of Colorado Springs! You are very cordially invited to the Freethinkers’ Summer Solstice Party, to be held on Friday, June 21st (the day of the solstice) beginning at 6:00 pm. Please note that this event will take the place of the June meeting, normally on the third Thursday of the month, and we ask that you please do not bring any food or beverages — they will be available for purchase at the venue.
Speaking of the venue, the party will take place at Jack Quinn Irish Ale House and Pub, located at 21 South Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs; it’s on the east side of Tejon between Pikes Peak Avenue and Colorado Avenue. We will gather upstairs in “Jack’s Attic.” There will be door prizes, food, drinks, and lots of fun!

Parking spaces on the street can be scarce on Friday evenings, but one can park for free at either of two nearby parking garages. The closer of the two is at the corner of Nevada and Colorado Avenues; its entrance is on the west side of Nevada, just south of Colorado, and Jack Quinn’s is just half a block away. The other garage is about a block away, on Kiowa Street; its entrance is on the south side of Kiowa between Tejon and Nevada (but please note that Kiowa is one-way heading east, so you must enter it from the Tejon side).
