Dr. Chris Leland is the executive director of College Student Ministries for the Focus on the Family Institute. He is also the senior fellow for Christian Worldview Studies and founder of Focus's college website, TrueU.org. A former university professor, he earned his Ph.D. in political communication from the University of Oklahoma, and is currently writing a book on Christian worldview called Truth Be Told: Making Your Worldview a Way of Life. During the debate, Dr. Leland refuted the statement Resolved: The phrases "one Nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance and "In God We Trust" on U.S. Currency violate the Constitution.
