This monthly gathering has been a "must attend" for local Freethinkers, Atheist, Skeptics and Humanists for years. They are usually held at a member's home or a community center, and everyone is expected to bring a food item or drink to share with the group.
The January Social will be held at Becky, Gary and Tani's home at 6158 Briarcliff Road, Colorado Springs, 80918.
The event will start at 6 pm and usually ends around 9 pm.
Some people pride themselves on bringing a special home-made dish. Sometimes a soup, stew or casserole. Salads are usually popular, along with desserts. Other people bring a take-out pizza or a bag of KFC's finest. And bottles of wine and beer usually find eager consumers.
There are always a few newcomers to meet, and lots of old friends.
This is kind of a strange house to find your way into. Best advice is to walk up the drive way and go to the LEFT. If you want to go to the RIGHT, you can. Then climb the steps and keep walking until you find the door.
In a little break with past months where we invited adults and kids to the evening event, we are going to hold a family with kids gathering earlier in the day. The goal is to get the kids together during their prime mid-day hours and then off to bed at a reasonable time.
