Hi Hiking Freethinkers,

Weather permitting, the hike on Sunday, April 17th will be Greenland Open Space Loop. (Waldo Canyon came in a close 2nd in the votes.) Part of this hike is actually also the Santa Fe Trail north of Palmer Lake. It is a relatively easy 8 1/2 mile hike. We will carpool from my house to the trail head (on County Line Road just east of Palmer Lake). We will leave my home at 10:00 AM.

Please bring enough water and snacks for the hike.

Due to the number of people on the hike, please let me know if you plan on attending the hike. If you change your mind, please let me know that also.

Rich (594-4506)

p.s. My hiking buddy, Alan and I hiked the Greenland Open Space Loop last Monday. However, we started on the Santa Fe Trail at North Gate Road making our round trip hike 29.5 miles.

Directions to Rich's house:

Travel north from Colorado Springs on Interstate 25 to exit 156A, Northgate Drive. Take your first left (at the first traffic light and a double turn lane) onto the large and divided Struthers Road. Follow Struthers Road for about 1 mile, there is a large "Summer Glen Estates" sign on your right. Directly in front of the sign, turn right onto Falcons Nest Loop. Take the second right onto Scottsdale Drive, then your first left onto Sedona Drive. My house is at the end of the cul-de-sac, slightly on the right. 205 Sedona Drive. 594-4506.
