Hike Mueller State Park on July 3rd

Please come join us on this hike in Mueller State Park on my 60th birthday. Georgianne and I will be attending the hike. John R. will be leading the hike.

Due to the number of people on the hike, please let me know if you plan on attending the hike. If you change your mind, please let me know that also.

Where: Naegele Road park-n-ride

Location: Mueller State Park: Outlook Ridge, Geer Pond, Osborn Homestead
Distance: Approximately 6 Miles
Elevation: 9,280 to 9680
Hike Time: 2.5 to 3 hours
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate A
Trail Condition: Well maintained trail
Hike Type: Loop with spurs

Meeting Location: From Highway 24 and 21st Street, go north on 21st Street, take the first left turn onto Naegele Rd and then the first right turn into the parking lot. John drives a silver Subaru Outback. Rich drives a red Prius.

Meeting Time: 8:30 AM

Hike Comments: Mueller State Park has approximately 15,000 acres of diverse terrain and is located South of Divide, Colorado. This loop offers a variety of views, terrain, and wildflowers which should be in peak bloom. There are over thirty trails in this lovely park. Depending upon the interest level and carpooling situation, we could include an additional trail if people want to hike more in the park. Please note: Dogs are not permitted in Colorado State Parks.

Suggestions: Bring plenty of water and a snack. Dress in layers. (No cotton) Bring a camera! There will be plenty of photo opportunities.

Note: There is a $6 fee per vehicle entering Mueller State Park. We will be carpooling. Please bring cash to share in the admission expense and gas for the drivers.
