Wishing Star Farm

We have another great fall fun event planned at Wishing Star Farm! We have booked a private party for Pikes Peak Atheists. This event is a ton of fun with or without kids!

This year they have added a kid's hay maze, life-sized tic-tac-toe boards, and kid-sized pedal Karts!

We will also have campfires for cooking our hot dogs and s'mores, a tractor wagon ride, a train ride on the Pumpkin Blossom Railroad for kids, tire swings, a huge bounce pillow (adults are allowed to jump, too!), a pedal car track (recommended for ages 7 and up), duck races, farm animals (and a camel!),and a hay stack to climb. You can also test your roping skills on steers, play horseshoes or play in big tubs of corn!

Schedule: Our main private event starts at 5:00. Arrive before that to do some of the activities:

Arrive: around 4:00

4:00- petting zoo and pony rides, plus walk around and look at the various animals on the farm; basically, enjoy the farm animals before they get tucked in for the night. Pony rides are an extra $3.

5:00 the farm closes to the public.

- Tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch. Pumpkins can be purchased for $3 each.

- Campfire/s with hay bale seating for our group.

- We will have a potluck, with campfire skewer cooking available. Suggestions of what to bring include hot dogs, brats and s'mores. It is usually chilly in the evening, so other ideas include hot chocolate and soup, plus munchies and dessert. We will have limited access to power, so anything with self-contained heat (Thermos, etc...) is ideal.

We are allowed to bring alcohol if anyone wants to enjoy a cup of wine or spiked hot chocolate around the fire.

Cost: $8 per person 2 Years and older includes all activities mentioned above.

Directions: The farm is located 17 miles east of Powers & Platte. The best way to get there is to go straight east on Platte from the Springs.

BRING: Head lamps/ glow bracelets/ flashlights/ lanterns are very helpful at this event because it is dark outside. Hay bale seating will be available, or you can bring camp chairs, and blankets suggested. It can get quite chilly after dark, so plan on bringing coats, hats and gloves as needed.

This should be a fantastic night of fun! You are very welcome to join our fall festival with or without kids in tow.

We hope to see you there!
