Many Americans remember Carl Sagan from his groundbreaking PBS TV series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, his 1980 PBS television series about science and universe that was (at least until 2009) the most widely watched PBS documentary in the world. In addition to his work on the 13 part Cosmos series, Carl Sagan was also an author and a key scientist on numerous NASA projects including the two voyager deep space missions.

Carl Sagan died in 1996 at the age of 62, and his fans celebrate his birthday each year on November 9. The 2017 celebration of "Sagan Day" will include the acceptance of his papers into the Library of Congress.

Please join us as we join the celebration online. Key speakers at the event will include Bill Nye, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Anne Druyan, and Seth McFarland.

Everybody welcome!
