Weather permitting, there will be an Extreme Adventure hike on Sunday, October 2nd to Stanley Canyon. This hike is meant for only above average hikers. The first portion of the hike is very steep. There are sections that are somewhat dangerous. A misstep could be fatal and/or result in broken bones. Also, there is a section that there is loose gravel on top of slanted rock. In this area, care needs to be taken to avoid sliding down into the creek.

We will carpool to the trailhead from the Woodmen Valley park-n-ride. From Interstate 25 and Woodmen Road, head west to the first traffic light, turn left (south) onto Corporate Drive, in a short distance turn right (west) onto Mark Dabling Blvd, turn right again (almost immediately) into the parking lot. Park in the southeast corner of the parking lot. Please be ready to leave the park-n-ride by 9:00 AM.
