Paper Moon

in the Aspen & Pine Rooms

at Penrose Public Library

You are cordially invited to join the Freethinkers of Colorado Springs for Movie Night! This months’ presentation will be Tuesday, the 18th, at 6:30 pm, at Penrose Public Library, 20 North Cascade Avenue in Colorado Springs.

We will see a funny and charming 1973 film, "Paper Moon," directed by Peter Bogdanovich and starring Ryan O’Neal, his daughter Tatum O’Neal (who won an Academy Award for this performance), Madeline Kahn, John Hillerman, and Randy Quaid. Set during the Great Depression, "Paper Moon" tells the story of Moses Pray, a con man impersonating a Bible salesman, who is coerced into driving Addie Loggins, a recently orphaned nine-year-old girl (who may or may not be his daughter), from Kansas to the home of her aunt in Missouri. Addie is quickly able figure out Moses’ racket and as the pair head to Missouri, their initially antagonistic relationship softens and they forge an unlikely partnership. The colorful characters they meet along the way make the film all the more engrossing.

We have reserved the combined Aspen and Pine Rooms in Penrose Library for these events. As you enter the building from Cascade Avenue, go straight ahead to the information desk, which is to your left. Turn right and follow the wall to your right, past the elevator, and look for the big blue Freethinkers sign.

Please join us on for "Paper Moon," Tuesday, June 18th, at 6:30 pm. ADMISSION IS FREE!

Everybody welcome.
