Introduced by

Gary King

of the Freedom From Religion Foundation

7:00-9:00 PM   November 23rd 2011

Two Spirits interweaves the tragic story of a mother's loss of her son with a revealing look at a time when the world wasn't simply divided into male and female and many Native American cultures held places of honor for people of integrated genders.

Gary King leads the Colorado Springs chapter of the Freedom From Religion Foundation and was the Bicultural Arts Program Coordinator and an instructor at Soaring Eagle Native American Survival School in Northern Wisconsin. He is a teacher, has a BFA from the University of Colorado and an MA and MFA from the University of Wisconsin. He has worked as a Dive master and is a Dive Control Specialist with Scuba Schools International. He is an artist and has had many one person shows, including at the Fine Arts Center of Colorado Springs and at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center in Pueblo.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This will be the last Freethinkers of Colorado Springs meeting held at the Gill Foundation because the Foundation will close their Colorado Springs location at the end of this year. The Freethinkers of Colorado Springs sincerely thank them for all the years of graciousness and hospitality; they will be sorely missed!
