Hi Hiking Freethinkers,

There will be a hike this coming Sunday, Feb. 24th starting at 9:30 AM. The hike starts from the south end of the Wal-Mart parking lot on South 8th street (a few blocks south of highway 24) and heads west towards Bear Creek Nature Center. The difficulty level of this hike is much easier than Waldo Canyon Trail but more difficult than Sinton Trail (a recent past hike).

The hike is (as much as) 12 miles round trip. The hike returns on the same path as we go out. There is no loop in the trail. If people decide not to do the entire hike, they can return to their vehicles either individually or in groups. There is some ice and snow on the trail, but no where near as much as Waldo Canyon. Also, the hike can go beyond 12 miles round trip if anyone wants to do a longer hike. Please bring enough water and snacks on the hike. There is a good chance that at least some of us will be hiking long enough to have lunch on the trail.

Due to the number of people on the hike, it is extremely helpful for me to know who plans on attending the hike.
