The monthly meeting of the Freethinkers of Colorado Springs takes place on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm. At August’s meeting, on the 22nd, the Freethinkers are very pleased to welcome Ted Belteau, a representative of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), who will discuss upcoming ballot issues. Please click on "Read more" for all the details ...

Mr Belteau, a native of New Orleans, has lived in Colorado for twenty years. He worked in education for many years and was, among other things, a school principal. He’s been associated with the ACLU for the past year. Mr Beltau will discuss the ACLU’s positions and share his insights into important ballot issues which are soon to be decided by voters: the legalization of marijuana and the so-called “personhood” amendment. Mr Beltau’s presentation will be followed by a question and answer period.

The meeting will take place in Conference Room II at the East Library and Information Center, 5550 North Union Boulevard. It’s located on the west side of Union, just a bit south of the intersection of Union and Vickers Drive in Colorado Springs.

Be sure to join the Freethinkers as Ted Belteau of the ACLU discusses upcoming ballot issues. Once again, that’s Wednesday, August 22nd, at 7:00 pm. Please join us for this informative and important presentation; everyone’s invited and admission is free!
