Please join us on February 27th at 7:00 PM in Colorado College's Armstrong Hall for a presentation on the Child Evangelism Fellowship's overtly religious "Good News Clubs," which operate after hours in in America's public schools and tell 5-12 year old children that they "deserve to die."

Every year the Child Evangelism Fellowship proseltyses to 5-12 year old public school students with a "five year curriculum" delivered through more than 3500 after school programs on public school property called "Good News Clubs."  Although the curriculum has been offered in homes since the 1920's, the 2001 Good News Club v. Milford Central School Supreme Court Decision granted the Child Evangelism Fellowship the ability to operate the overtly religious Good News Clubs on public school property, and public schools must also forward Good News Club information/registration materials to parents through traditionally official public school communications mechanisms.  In keeping with an annual targeted growth strategy, the Child Evangelism Fellowship has chosen Denver Colorado for expansion of its Good News Clubs in 2013.  Worldwide, there are more that 42,000 Good News Clubs.

RICHARD DAWKINS is the author of many books including The Selfish Gene (1986) and The God Delusion (2006), numerous documentary films such as The Blind Watchmaker (1987) and The Enemies of Reason (2007), and has appeared on Doctor Who and countless other television programs.

KATHERINE STEWART is the author of The Good News Club, the Christian Right's Stealth Assault on America's Children (2007).

SEAN FAIRCLOTH is the author of The Attack of the Theocrats! How the Religious Right Harms Us All - and What We Can Do About It (2012).  Mr. Faircloth is a former member of the Maine Legislature, is the executive director of the Secular Coalition of America and is Director of Strategy and Policy for the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science.

ERIC CERNYAR is a Good News Club survivor and patent attorney who formerly worked to defend and expand the access of Good News Clubs to the public schools.  When attempting to find a framework to teach his own children, Mr. Cernyar recognized that the Good News Club curriculum appeared as little more than a form of bullying.  Confronted by the reality that his own children might join the thousands of children who experience the harsh religiosity of the Good News Club curriculum in their public schools every year, Mr. Cernyar became an opponent of the clubs.  In 2012 he began to develop approaches to oppose the goals of his former allies, the Child Evangelism Fellowship, especially their work to expand the number of Good News Clubs operating in Colorado.
