The latest weather reports indicate a good chance for snow over the Palmer Divide on Saturday. If that happens the proposed hike up past Woodland Park and Rampart Range Road may not be a good option for now. Another possible hike is going to Red Rocks and explore some areas that are off the main area. I recently started a Red Rocks hike off 31st street a bit south of highway 24. I propose that we meet at the parking lot decribed below and decide where to hike on Sunday morning. Therefore we have two options:

Hike 1) Red Rocks OR

Come and enjoy good food and great conversation with other Freethinkers! Bring a dish to share, bring your spouse and/or friend, and bring water, soft drinks, a bottle of beer or wine, or whatever you'd like to drink. Coffee and tea will be provided by the host(ess). Socials begin at 6:00 PM and usually break up around 9:00 PM. Remember to mark your calendar: our socials are on the second Saturday of each month. Click "Read more" for all the details.

This months Drinking Skeptically will take place at Meadow Muffins. I have decided to alternate between a north and south location. The manager said the back bar area will be open to us. When he found out the name of our group he kindly offered to give us a free pitcher of domestic beer and an appetizer. Swing on by and join us for a fun time.

Drinking Skeptically is an informal social event designed to promote fellowship and networking among skeptics, critical-thinkers, and like-minded individuals.

Drinking Skeptically provides an opportunity for skeptics to talk, share ideas (and yes, drink) in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. We discuss the issues of the day and whatever else is on our minds. But most of all, we have fun while promoting skepticism, science, and rationality.

Everyone is welcome even if you do not drink.

The Colorado Springs Skeptics invite you to their April monthly meeting.

Homeopathy is a billion dollar industry worldwide. While the highest sales for homeopathic remedies are in France, the sales in the United States continue to grow. Homeopathy is a great example of how alternative medicine differs from that of conventional medicine. The criticisms of homeopathy apply to other alternative health treatments as well – including Reiki, magnetic therapy, therapeutic touch, and acupuncture.

This month we will get a preview of John. R.'s Skepticamp talk: "Homeopathy: Medicine or Magic." What exactly is homeopathy? Does it have any basis in science? Is it effective? Why is its use becoming more accepted?

POSTPONED DUE TO THE BAD WEATHER THIS WEEKEND

Every 4 months the Free Thought - Free Kids group gets together to have a social and to plan events for the coming months.
This meeting will take place as follows:
Location : Fox Run Regional Park (east of I25 at Junction 156b, north on Roller Coaster) Pavilion #4
All are welcome.  This is a good way to visit the group for the first time and find out what we have planned. We may have a picnic/barbecue if the weather looks as though it will be good.
