Although this is not an official Freethinkers of Colorado Springs event, I thought I would pass the information on to those who might be interested. Swing on by and join Drinking Skeptically for some good Irish Pub food, drinks, and great conversations. This will be the first official Drinking Skeptically gathering in Colorado Springs. Drinking Skeptically was started in New York by Michael Feldman of the New York City Skeptics. Denver and Boulder have started up ones in their areas, so let's join them in putting Colorado clearly on the map for science and reason. | ||

Hi Hiking Freethinkers, The hike this Sunday will be the Bear Creek Trail to Jones Park. This is a relatively difficult hike with a significant elevation gain. If there is desire, we could go beyond Jones park towards the beaver ponds or to Frosty Park. Start: 10:00 am

Join us for geocaching, hiking and a barbeque picnic on Sunday, June 1st, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Fox Run Regional Park. This will be fun for kids and adults alike. If you've never heard of geocaching, come along, find out some more and join in! Children will learn how to follow a compass, how to use a GPS unit and how to collaborate with each other to find the buried treasure! Once we have finished treasure hunting we will grill a few hotdogs for those who wish to stay around and have fun at the park. For those who have smaller kids, there is a very nice playground near where we will meet. | ||

Join us for the June 14th Freethinker Potluck Social at the home of Allison from 6:00-9:00 PM. Remember to bring a dish and a beverage to share. If the weather is nice, the kids can play there. She will have frisbees, balls, etc. that they can bring to the park too. There is a sand volleyball court nearby, we don't have a net, but we have a volleyball. So if someone wants to bring a net.... | ||
