The Colorado Springs Streetcar Feasibility Study will hold public meetings on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at 30 South Nevada Avenue regarding the possibility of (re)implementing a streetcar system in Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs original streetcar system apparently operated trolleys in downtown Colorado Springs and to Manitou Springs between 1887 and 1932. A tenacious and resilient local group called "The Colorado Springs and Interurban Railway" has collected and restored a number of cool vintage electric trolleys that are "stored," "serviceable" and apparently ready for use on the proposed streetcar line.
