If you are interested in this hike, please RSVP at www.meetup.com/hiking-freethinkers. Weather permitting, there will be a hike on Sunday, Sept. 18th. The hike is Black Forest Section 16. This hike is a mostly flat 4.2 mile loop in Black Forest. To get there from Corporate Drive and Woodmen Road, head east, go 6.3 miles, turn left onto Black Forest Road, go 0.2 miles, turn right onto Vollmer Road, go 4.5 miles, turn left onto Burgess Road, go 0.25 miles, turn right into the trailhead parking lot. | ||

If you plan on attending this hike, please go to www Weather permitting, there will be an Extreme Adventure hike on Sunday, October 2nd to Stanley Canyon. This hike is meant for only above average hikers. The first portion of the hike is very steep. There are sections that are somewhat dangerous. A misstep could be fatal and/or result in broken bones. Also, there is a section that there is loose gravel on top of slanted rock. In this area, care needs to be taken to avoid sliding down into the creek. | ||
